Materials

This can be easily overlooked after signing off on your builders contract but it important to know what materials are being used to avoid any additional fees or misunderstanding further along in the build.

This is not a comprehensive list but the materials that I was faced with making a decision are:

• Double brick vs brick veneer
• Terracotta vs concrete roof tiles
• Floorboards vs concrete slab (suspended)
• Type of concrete aggregate and colour.
• Aluminium vs timber windows
• Standard or premium window frames
• Wall or floor tiles

As for any storage joinery, bathroom/laundry items I took control of these items not the builder to avoid any uncertainty.
